20 Days Of Worship Through Song | Day 13 - The Musings of Mum

I warned you, this is the 4th rend Collective song in this series, and it is not the last. I like to dance, but then again I’ve already said that too. This is another song, that makes me want to get up and dance. I mean, how can you help dancing, knowing that He has given us a heart and a home?

When I think of fireworks, I think of great celebrations, like the 4th of July, the coming of the New Year or  fireworks display at the end of each day at Disneyland. Fireworks are exiting, they are loud, and they are reserved for special occasions.

The lyrics of this song encourage us to be exited, and to loudly and joyfully celebrate.

I sing like it’s the first time

and leave behind the cynic

We’re letting praise like fireworks,

Loose from our thankful hearts

The lyrics go on to say we that in joy and pain we worship, His strength never fails us and we’re not lost in the darkness. Do you believe that?

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

As the girls and I were doing our daily devotion this morning, this was one of the verses our study prompted us to look up. As I was getting ready to read it my youngest said it from memory. She was also able to give me examples about how this verse applied in her young life. She shared about a time when she felt like she is was in a sort of darkness and how she realized there was nothing to fear when she realized he was holding her hand. She was EXITED as she retold the story. She found joy in her pain.
